Wireless Smoke Detectors for Downtown
Safety in our work place is a concern for all of us. Clinton Main Street, with the help of the Neighborhood Assistance Program, has contracted with Crime Busters Security Company to install wireless smoke detectors in buildings on the Square. Because of the common walls in downtown, fire is of particular danger.
All business on the Square have had an opportunity to have a wireless smoke detector installed free of charge. The program is completely paid for with Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) funds. Businesses had the option of adding more detectors at their own expense and several chose to do so. These detectors are monitored 24/7 through control panels installed on each side of the Square that handle several businesses at once. With installation complete, the Clinton Fire Department is the only organization with access to the control panels.
Quick detection of smoke can save lives, buildings and other property. Clinton Main Street is proud to offer this program, one of the first in the state, to help protect downtown businesses.
