I’d like to start off by thanking Caroline, Lauren and Kyle from KSHB-TV/Channel 41 out of Kansas City for their work in Clinton on Thursday.  They were in town recording people and taking video around town, Truman Lake, our disc golf course, the industrial park, the Katy Trail, Downtown Clinton and more.  Clinton and Henry Co. will be featured as part of their “In Your Neighborhood” segment.  According to Caroline, you will be able to see Clinton on:

Bicycle riders gathered in Clinton Sunday evening before heading east on the Katy Trail Monday morning on the Big BAM (Bicycle Across Missouri). From their website: The Big BAM on the Katy is a fully supported ride. You will explore Missouri in a way like never before. The ride takes you through pastoral farmland, meadows full of wildflowers, and majestic forests, and explores charming small towns.  You can ride alongside the Missouri River for long stretches, see the same Native American pictographs Lewis and Clark saw, and discover the charming old river towns along the way.

Heartland Comm. Join Author Timm Fischer this Saturday, June10th, at the Henry County Library in Clinton for his presentation of “Summer Adventures: The Beginning”.

Mark your calendar for June 10th! The Henry County Historical Society will be hosting a chicken dinner and live auction that evening, beginning at 5:00 PM. This is a fundraiser for the repairs being done to the historic Dorman House which is presently undergoing major repairs. Auction items include two Ike Parker paintings, stained glass, a spa package, jewelry and many other items.  This will be held at the Delozier Building on the NW corner of the Clinton Square.   Chicken dinner served by Jim Kalberloh, former owner of the Landmark Rest.  Doors open at 5, Dinner at 6 and Auction at 7.  There will be live music and a cash bar.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Tickets available at the Chamber of Commerce and Henry Co.
