About the event
This event is free and open to all — members, neighbors, and newcomers alike. Refreshments are provided. If you’d like to support the museum’s work, donations are gratefully accepted.
This annual walk brings stories to life, honoring the legacies of teachers, artists, leaders, and everyday folks who helped shape our community. On the agenda this year is “Henry,” Ora (McCown) Harvey, Bettie Royston, James and Mary Colt, Rev. W. E. Goodwin, and the Veterans Memorial.
We’ll meet on Sunday, October 26, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Englewood Cemetery, located at 1804 E. Ohio Street (on the corner of Ohio and Vansant), Clinton, Missouri. Follow the signs from the cemetery gates to the event site.
There’s something almost magical about autumn in Englewood — the crisp air and falling leaves make it the perfect setting to reconnect with history. It’s not spooky, we promise.
Come for the stories about our community. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious and looking for a meaningful way to spend a fall afternoon, we’d love to see you there.
Hosted by the Henry County Historical Society & the Henry County Museum
