Christmas at the Henry Co. Library
Calling all kids! On Saturday, November 30th, the Henry County Library will kick off the holiday season with a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus at the Lenora Blackmore Branch in Windsor beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will be crafts, photos taken by Santa’s Helper, goodies for each boy and girl, and the opportunity to tell Santa what you want for Christmas while Mrs. Claus takes notes! This event is presented in partnership with the Windsor 4 Rural Fire Department and the Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce.
There’s more! Visit the Henry County Library in Clinton and the Lenora Blackmore Branch in Windsor from December 2nd – 19th to search for the Elf on the Shelf hiding in the children’s area. Share with the staff what book he’s reading, and you’ll receive a candy cane along with an entry into the Elf on the Shelf grand prize drawing to be held on December 20th.
The fun doesn’t end there! The library will be holding a holiday ornament decorating contest for ages 0-17. Ornament pick-up will run from December 2nd – December 7th at both locations, and the entry deadline is December 17th at 4:00 p.m. in Windsor and 4:30 p.m. in Clinton. Prizes will be awarded in the following age categories: 0-5, 6-10, and 11-17. Winners will be announced on December 20th.
