I got to see some angels and elves in action on Wed. It was all taking place at 219 South Main Street in Clinton. That’s the headquarters for Bright Futures Clinton Angel Tree. Head Elf Amanda Johnson and her team of elves have been hard at work taking your donated items and money and making sure, hopefully, all kids can have a Merry Christmas. The amount of presents, coats, clothes, etc. is simply amazing. The Angel Tree program can always use your time and efforts. These elves are still working on this Christmas and are already making plans for next year. To donate, simply go to: https://www.clintonangeltree.com/online-donations

We could use your help! The Clinton Tourism Committee has purchased a full-page ad in RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring & Travel magazine and their online editions. RoadRUNNER is America’s only print magazine dedicated to motorcycle travel. It has been called the National Geographic of motorcycle magazines. In order to complete our ad that will be telling and showing all the reasons motorcyclists should come to and stay in Clinton, we would love to include some photos of local motorcyclists, whether someone got a good pic of you traveling down the road or a group photo of you and your friends with your machines. We don’t know how many photos we need, but we would love to get a bunch to have on-hand if needed. Just email your picture(s) to david@clintonmo.com or joyce@clintonmo.com. Thanks in advance!
A couple of nuts brought a bunch of nuts to three nuts at the Clinton Chamber on Thursday. Joyce, Mark and David at the Chamber want to thank Jessica and Brittany from Legacy Bank and Trust for their gift.
Big thanks to Andy Engelhart and our friends from Hawthorn Bank in Clinton. He knew to get Diet Coke for David and Joyce got her wine. The gift certificates from Powell Meat Co. also very much appreciated!
There’s a new event coming to Clinton and the Katy Trail in 2023. We don’t have all the details, but I can tell you it’s going to take place in Oct. and some very talented athletes will be coming to Clinton. More details will be found in this column and elsewhere as the months go by.

There’s also only one week left to take advantage of this promotion as well! The Greater Clinton-Area Chamber of Commerce is giving you a chance to win…several chances to win, actually. It’s the Clinton Chamber’s Third-Annual ‘Receipt to Receive’. Right now, folks can bring in or email a receipt from a Clinton Chamber-member business and they will then be entered to win. Thus, Receipt to Receive. At the Chamber, we will copy, scan or print that receipt and get your name and phone number. Keep in mind that the item or items on your receipt has to be at least $25 in total and those items need to be purchased from members of the Clinton Chamber to be entered, but you can enter multiple times each week with different receipts. Each week, those receipts will be entered into a drawing to win $25 in Chamber gift certificates. We will give our prize away each Monday. To be entered to win each Monday, you must bring at least one receipt to the Chamber that previous week. All qualifying receipts will be eligible for our grand prize giveaway. On Dec. 23rd at noon, we will take ALL those receipts entered and draw the big winner of $200 in Chamber certificates. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am until 4:30pm at 200 South Main St. The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is giving away $375 in Chamber gift certificates with our seven weekly winners and that grand prize winner of $200 in Chamber gift certificates. You can find a list of Clinton Chamber members when you go to www.clintonmo.com, call the Clinton Chamber at 660-885-8166 or look for the Clinton Chamber decal near the front of each business. You can email david@clintonmo.com or joyce@clintonmo.com.
Press Release: Happy Holidays from everyone at YOUR Chamber of Commerce. We all know this is an extremely important time of the year, especially for retail. That’s why YOUR Chamber wants to get YOUR store on the top of people’s minds. If you are a member of the Clinton Chamber, PLEASE contact YOUR Chamber to schedule a time David can come by YOUR store and take pictures of what YOU have to offer. The photos can be of merchandise, employees, etc. If you or your employees don’t want their pictures taken, that’s no problem. Those photos, along with some information about your business, will then be featured on our Facebook page for the world to see! I guess you can call it the “Holiday Edition of Featured in Photos”. Even if you’ve been ‘Featured in Photos’ recently, that’s OK…David still wants to take pictures of your business and put them on our Facebook page. Retail, restaurants, professional and more…EVERYONE is included in the “Holiday Edition of Featured in Photos”. David will only take photos and post to Facebook the things you want the public to see. He will only be in your business a few minutes, but we hope to get you a ton of publicity! If you are not a Clinton Chamber member, contact us. We can sign you up and then get to taking some photos. It’s just another service of YOUR Chamber of Commerce. Call 660-885-8166. Email david@clintonmo.com of stop by 200 South Main Street.

Together, we can make a difference for our elder neighbors!
The Clinton Chamber Announces It’s Small Business Season: Support Local Clinton and Henry Co. businesses. Throughout the holiday shopping season, the Chamber is encouraging consumers to “Think Small” and earmark at least part of their holiday spending in support of local small business. Mark, David and Joyce at the Clinton Chamber remind you that small business is the backbone of our economy. 64% of our new jobs in the US come from small business. When people spend their dollars locally, more money stays local. On average, for every $100 spent locally, $68 of that stays here.

The Dog Groomer LLC Clinton, MO We have put up our “Shelter Tree” again this year. It is similar to an Angel Tree except it is only for the Dogs and Cats at The Clinton Animal Shelter. Each ornament has the name of a Dog or Cat currently at the Shelter and on the back of each ornament are two items that are on the Shelters Wish List. We ask that you choose one item on the ornament to purchase and bring that back to put under our “Shelter Tree.” We will place your ornament on the tree when you bring in your “gift” to the Shelter. Our goal is to fill the tree with ornaments by Christmas.
