Henry County Dual Anniversary Celebration
We’re celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Henry County Historical Society that began in 1966, and the 50th anniversary of the Henry County Museum (which is owned and operated by the Society) that opened in the historic Anheuser-Busch building in 1976.
The celebration is on October 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00.
It will be held outdoors by the Homestead barn, located behind our Dogtrot Log Cabin on Franklin Street (across the street from the museum).
The Truman Lake Dulcimer Band will play a wide range of popular music — folk, gospel, country, patriotic, older rock, and traditional dulcimer tunes.
Folks are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to settle in and enjoy the music.
There will be two food trucks on hand to handle hunger and thirst needs: Sarge’s Kettle Corn and Smoke Ring BBQ .
There will be a prize drawing every 30 minutes (umbrellas, t-shirts, etc., with a grand prize of a Lifetime Individual membership). Attendees need to put their name in the hopper when they arrive.
