The African Queen

Heartland Community Theatre is pleased to announce the latest edition of our upcoming Sunday monthly movie matinee at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th, 2023.
This month’s feature presentation is “The African Queen” (1951), starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, directed by John Huston. This presentation is set in East Africa, at the beginning of World War I. The captain of a riverboat is persuaded by an English missionary to undertake a dangerous trip up a treacherous river and attack a German gunboat. Humphrey Bogart won an Oscar for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his portrayal of the riverboat captain.
Admission is always FREE for this monthly event, along with gourmet popcorn and beverages.
