This month’s feature presentation is 1953’s “Shane”
Heartland Community Theatre is pleased to announce the first 4th Sunday Movie Matinee of 2024 at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday, February 25th.
This month’s feature presentation is 1953’s “Shane” (117 mins.), which was the winner of one Oscar (Best Color Cinematography) and nominated for five additional, including Best Picture, two Best Actors in Supporting Roles, Best Director and Best Writing. This is the original version filmed in the Teton Range National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as Big Bear Lake, California, and the color cinematography is absolutely gorgeous and stunning, adding to this complex story of the Old West. This film stars Alan Ladd (in the title role) as Shane, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde and of course Jack Palance, as the sadistic gunslinger Jack Wilson, who becomes Shane’s biggest nightmare in this classic western tale.
Admission is always FREE, along with gourmet popcorn and beverages for all in attendance. We wish to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.
Hope to see everyone this Sunday afternoon, February 25th, at the Heartland Community Theatre, 108 North Washington, Clinton.
