WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE GREATER CLINTON-AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE/BY DAVID LEE-DIRECTOR: 1/26/24

The Clinton Chamber and the City wanted to thank and congratulate one more time; TC-Transcontinental for being named the Business of the Year at last week’s Annual Chamber Banquet. So, we headed out to their beautiful facility for another photo opportunity on Thursday.  Myself (David Lee), Mark Dawson, Carla Moberly, Rod Balke, Adam Cummings, Amber Hansen and Sabrina Harris are in the photo you can see on our Facebook page;   https://www.facebook.com/ClintonMO/

From our Banquet last week:  Our Business of the Year for 2023 has been doing business in Clinton for over 20 years now.

Since starting operations in Clinton, this employer has increased employment by over 21%.

This employer has invested approximately $170 million in plant renovations and improvements in Clinton and Henry County in the last 20 years.

Besides Clinton, this business has over 8,000 employees worldwide…approximately 240 employees here in Clinton.

In 2023, this company Ranked #26 in the world for Most Sustainable Corporations by Corporate Knights, an award-winning sustainable economy magazine.

This company and their employees are very involved in the Clinton area in over 30 organizations and help out the Angel Tree program…the Clinton Animal Rescue Organization…the Clinton School District in many different ways…Henry Co. Cancer Relief Fund…The Gabby Girls…Youth Activities…Clinton Main Street…and many, many others. As an example; Through their ‘Dollars for Doers’ program, employees from TC volunteered their time and energy in helping to keep the Square clean during Olde Glory Days last year. Their volunteer hours turned into money from TC’s home office. TC donated that money to the Clinton Senior Center/Care Connection for Aging Services.

I am proud to announce that the 2023 Clinton Chamber of Commerce ‘Business of the Year’ is TC-Transcontinental.
