Big thanks to the fine folks at the Sunrise Optimist Club for letting me speak on Thursday morning about this year’s Olde Glory Days celebration.   Last week, I presented at Rotary.

How would you like to be a vendor during Olde Glory Days? Lots of people do it. Businesses, churches, food, drinks, crafters, non-profits…the list is long right now and getting longer! We do have room for you, however. Our cutoff date to accept vendors is June 21st. You won’t be able to win money or certificates July 3rd-6th if you don’t have a badge; They are here ($5 each).

You won’t be able to win those prizes if you don’t put your ticket in the hopper each night before 8pm; They are here and come with the badges.

Cruise to Clinton Cruise Night is a cruise-in held on the Clinton, MO Square, from 4pm till 7pm on the 2nd Saturday of the month from May thru October.  Plenty of shade and parking available, with food vendors on site and a DJ playing music and giveaways. The 2nd annual Olde Glory Days Disc Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sat. June 22, at Artesian Park. Sign up at 8 a.m. at Shelter #4 or on-line. It is for all levels, Amateur and Pro. Survival House’s 4th Annual Ride to Survive will be June 22nd.  Starting location will be the American Legion in Warrensburg, 733 East Young Ave.  Registration at 9am, last bike out at 10:30am.  Awards at 3pm at Fitters.

The Henry County Library will be hosting juggling duo Jay & Leslie on Saturday, June 22nd, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Friends of the Henry County Library Community Room. The pair will be performing their 2024 summer library program show Library Escapades. Juggling, stories, and an audience fueled interpretation on Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem Jabberwocky highlight the show (via leslieandjay.com).

Second Annual Chicken Dinner.  A Henry Co. You’re invited to the MO State Tractor Pullers Assoc. Truck and Tractor Pull June 22nd beginning at 7pm at the Henry Co. Fairgrounds in Clinton.  Admission for adults is $15…$5 for kids 5 to 10…and those under 4 get in free.  Alcohol will be served on the grounds, however, no coolers allowed.  There will be five classes for the tractor pull with three classes for the truck pull.  The MSTPA Truck and Tractor Pull…June 22nd at 7pm at the Henry Co. Soul Survivor Camp is a youth day camp in the Artesian Park for kids ages 8 to 14. July 29 through August 2, 8am to 5pm. Kids will have a fun week in the park with fun and games, crafts, swimming, Bible studies, sports and much more. This is a free event and lunch is included. Sponsored by area churches.
