The Chamber of Commerce and our Ambassadors Committee are hosting our first Luncheon for 2025 this month. It will take place on Feb. 21st at the Clinton Elks Lodge Banquet Room from 11:30am (that’s when serving begins) until 1pm. We will start the program around 12:00 and if you are still eating, that’s certainly no problem. Our guest will be Brittney Beazley, Director of Sales with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She will be educating our Chamber members on the MO Chamber Plan and how this could save money in health insurance for you and your employees. Compass Health Network will present: Trauma 101-Training for the Workforce. An update from the Childcare Committee will also be featured along with updates from Mark Dawson, Economic Development Director. There will be a short ‘question and answer session’ after each speaker and a time to speak individually with each presenter after the event. The cost for the luncheon will be $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Those tickets are on sale now at the Chamber. The Clinton Chamber and Clinton Main Street will join together for one banquet this year. New for 2025, we are moving our annual banquet to March (the 13th to be exact). We will have food, awards, entertainment and, also new this year, we have invited Clinton Main Street to host their annual banquet with us! Its two banquets for the price of one at the Benson Center. The evening’s theme will be ‘Cruise Into Spring’. The Social starts at 5:30pm with dinner starting at 6pm. Entertainment by Dennis Laffoon-The Piano Man. Recognition awards will be handed out…a review of 2024 and look ahead to 2025…and more. Tickets are $25 for a Chamber member, get a free ticket if you buy a table for 8, and non-members are $35. Are you needing a meeting space in Clinton? If so, the Chamber of Commerce may be able to help you out. The Chamber of Commerce building at 200 S. Main St. features a conference room with a table and chairs for about ten people, possibly more if needed. The room features a big screen TV with access to Internet, zoom and more, a sink, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and restrooms. This room is available to members of the Clinton Chamber free of charge. It is also available to those that are not members of our Chamber, however there is a fee. The room can be used during business hours from 8am till 4:30pm Monday through Friday. After hours and weekend hours can be discussed. This week, we continued our “Featured” segments on the Chamber’s Facebook page. We are now taking text and images from our member’s websites, Facebook pages, Google searches, etc. and combining them into posts on our Facebook page. “Featured with the GCACC”. It gives the viewer a “one-stop shopping experience” for each of our Chamber members. We have a lot of Chamber members so getting every business on our page will take quite a while, but we think it’s well worth it! It’s just another service from YOUR Chamber of Commerce. Discounts to Clinton School District Staff
Dear Community Partner,
Recently, several area businesses have contacted the Clinton School District offering discounts to our school district staff as a way to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication to educating the students in our community. To ensure we provide our employees with a comprehensive and up-to-date resource list, we are compiling a list of all businesses in the area that offer such discounts or benefits. This list will be distributed to our staff, helping them take advantage of local offers while encouraging them to support local businesses. If your business offers a discount or benefit to school staff, we’d love to include it on our list. You can email Angie Lawson at alawson@clintoncardinals.org to have your business included.
Also, beginning on February 14th, teams of four staff members will participate in a six-week fitness and wellness challenge. Each week during the challenge, there will be drawings for small prizes. The district is seeking businesses to sponsor four identical small prizes each week for the duration of the challenge. If you are interested in sponsoring four small prizes for one of the weeks, please contact alawson@clintoncardinals.org. Are you part of a nonprofit organization that’s looking for a grant to meet a need? The Truman Lake Community Foundation will open its spring grant cycle.
Applications opened February 1 and are due by 11:59 pm on February 28, 2025. To apply visit cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. Non-profit agencies with 501(c)3 or similar tax-exempt status such as schools, faith-based organizations or governmental entities are eligible. The community foundation will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status. The Truman Lake Community Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in Henry County and the surrounding area through resource development, community grant making, collaboration and public leadership. To date, the foundation has awarded $4 million in grants.

Clinton Animal Shelter—Our small rural shelter runs primarily on volunteers and we need more help. Most all of our money goes to the care of the homeless pets that we take in. We only have two full-time employees and a handful of part-time employees. We literally pretty much function with volunteers and with all of the donations that are received by our awesome supporters and some funds from the City of Clinton. Sadly, because of the high number of homeless pets we just don’t have enough volunteers. People to socialize with the pets is so important. A walk, car ride or just hanging out in the play yard or cat room is vital to their well-being. We also have other things volunteers can do such as laundry, dishes, cleaning and more. The Clinton Senior Center presents: our 2nd Annual Snowball Prom and Dinner on Feb. 22nd. Four course dinner served from 6 till 7pm, prom from 7 till 11. Open to the public and family friendly. Tickets for adults are $30, children 10 and under $10. Prom only is $15 at 7pm. This is a fundraiser to benefit programs and services at the Clinton Senior Center. Tickets available at the Center, Clinton Chamber of Commerce or any Service Board member. Music provided by Old Skool Band. Dance, door prizes, snacks, king and queen and more. The Center is also inviting businesses and individuals to join their SNOWBALL FIGHT as a sponsorship for the Prom. The snowballs will be displayed at the event.
